Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Mayne Event Media Ltd handles personal data collected through truecrimesessions.co.uk. It is written for compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data controller

The data controller is Mayne Event Media Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), registered address [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Contact: hello@truecrimesessions.co.uk.

What we collect

Through this website we collect only:

  • your email address, and
  • a record of the consent you gave when you gave it.

We do not ask for or store your name, address, phone number or payment details on this website. Ticket purchases are handled by Eventbrite, whose privacy policy applies to that transaction.

Lawful basis

We rely on your consent to send you email about The True Crime Sessions. You give that consent by ticking the box on the signup form.

What we use it for

We use your email address only to send you updates about The True Crime Sessions — typically the venue announcement, the final programme, and when tickets open. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Retention

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and for up to twelve months after the event ends. We keep the consent record for as long as we hold the underlying email, so we can prove we had permission to write to you.

Processors

Your email address is stored on our database, provided by Supabase (a service of Supabase Inc.), and processed by our email sending provider when we send you a message. Both act as processors under our instructions.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you,
  • have it corrected if it is wrong,
  • have it erased,
  • restrict how we use it,
  • object to our use of it,
  • receive it in a portable format,
  • withdraw your consent at any time, and
  • complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@truecrimesessions.co.uk. You can unsubscribe from every email we send using the link at the bottom.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published here.
